The local mountain biking community has something big to celebrate: OMBA is making significant progress on the brand‑new Trosper Trails, a developing singletrack system tucked into the forested heart of Trosper Park. When complete, riders will enjoy more than 6 miles of purpose‑built trail, weaving through mature woods and offering a fresh riding experience on the near southeast side of the city.

OMBA Volunteers working on the Trosper Trails
Thanks to months of planning, mapping, and hands‑on work, the project is well underway. OMBA volunteers have mapped over 5 miles of the trail system and have rough‑cut approximately 2.5 miles of corridor. Every foot of progress represents hours of dedication from community members who believe in expanding outdoor recreation opportunities across Oklahoma City.
A major boost came from the OKC Parks and Trails Foundation, whose grant funding helped pay for a forestry machine used to cut portions of the trail corridor. This support accelerated progress and allowed volunteers to focus their energy on clearing debris, and refining the areas unreachable by the forestry tractor.
The heart of the work is, and will always be, volunteer power. All progress on these trails is the result of people showing up, grabbing tools, and building something lasting for the entire community.
OMBA’s next volunteer workday is Sunday, April 5, at 8.30am and everyone is welcome. Whether you’re an experienced trail builder or brand‑new to the process, there’s a place for you on the crew. Trail days are fun, social, and incredibly rewarding! You get to leave with dirt on your gloves and the satisfaction of knowing you helped create a trail that thousands will enjoy. Another way to support the project is by becoming an OMBA member. Membership is just $39 per year, and every dollar goes directly toward building, repairing, and maintaining trails across the metro. Joining OMBA is one of the simplest, most impactful ways to ensure that projects like Trosper Trails continue to grow.
